The Best Brothel-creepers - The Eternal Question Answered

 

I have definitely proved after hauling my ample backside around Seville for a couple of days (breaking all previous step records), that Loakes are the way forward …….. this should not be a surprise to most but I felt duty bound to research this my walking this fantastic City.

Let’s not beat around the bush, Seville is one of the most beautiful Cities I have ever been to (including Leeds!) but rather than focus on the Alcazar and the Cathedral I loved exploring the less known parts of the city. Duty photos are included for the purists though…


The street art was brilliant as were the local markets…… charcuterie to die for and great selections of fish and veg for those so inclined🥴.  If you get the chance the Mercado de Tirana and the Mercado Artisan.

The food was equally magnificent, everyone in a tapas bar I passed at lunchtime today seemed to be eating a particular dish so after explaining in ‘Yorkshire Esperanto’ ie pointing and nodding, I got what I later found out to be a plate of slow cooked Iberico ham, chips and 2 beers ; the best €23 euro’s I have spent😜

Last night I went to a backstreet Algerian restaurant (please don’t let Moroccan immigration know or I will get the full ‘marigold glove treatment on entry🤐), and had a merguez sausage dish grilled with cashew, almonds chillies and onions and then finished off by putting it inside a pastry case and steaming it……try Daud Basha if you can 😀

    I've passed this onto the marketing department at loakes to see if Brothel Creepers should be the name of their next campaign... currently radio silence but you never know

    At least you didnt unleash those dreadful DMs on the innocents abroad! I’ll ask for some Brothel Creepers next time im in John Lewis in Leeds and see what the response is 😂😻

The Intended Route (Part Three - Decompression & Decontamination)

 Spain - and the Return Assuming I was not declared persona non grata on the first transit, I am intending to get back to Algeciras at the start of week 8 of my travels. I then have a week or so to get myself hosed down from the worrying image I have of the beast I may have turned into before a welcoming pint back in the Dale. Mid-century Crisis or exercising my right to say F**k IT

A great friend of mine when she heard of this trip accused me of having a mid-century crisis ..... I strongly disagreed!
